Description

Coated VICRYL Plus Antibacterial Suture, Undyed, 4-0 RB-2, 27" is a sterile, synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910, a copolymer containing 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The suture is designed for general soft tissue approximation and ligation where an absorbable material is appropriate. Its synthetic construction provides a predictable profile for surgical wound closure and tissue approximation.

The suture contains Irgacare MP (triclosan), a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent incorporated into the suture material. This antibacterial component is intended to provide antibacterial protection at the suture site. The undyed configuration provides a natural, uncolored appearance while maintaining the material characteristics of coated polyglactin 910.

This product is supplied as a needled suture with an RB-2 needle. The needle has a 1/2-circle shape and measures 13 mm, providing a configuration suitable for controlled passage through soft tissue. The suture has a 4-0 gauge and a length of 27 inches (70 cm), offering sufficient material for approximation and ligation procedures requiring fine suture handling.
