Description
Coated VICRYL™ Plus Antibacterial Control Release Suture, Undyed Braided, CT-1 Needle,Size 3-0, 18" is a synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910. It is formulated with an added antibacterial agent, triclosan, which provides localized antimicrobial activity. This suture has demonstrated an in vitro zone of inhibition against a range of common surgical site pathogens, including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA, and MRSE.
The braided structure of the polyglactin 910 substrate offers excellent handling characteristics, knot security, and flexibility. The coating further enhances suture performance by reducing friction during tissue passage, ensuring smooth placement and minimized tissue trauma. The undyed composition is suited for procedures requiring minimal suture visibility post-placement.
The attached CT-1 taper point needle features a 1/2 circle curvature, ideal for general soft tissue approximation.
