The Nexiva Closed IV Catheter System, Single Port, Yellow, 24G x 0.75" is an advanced closed IV catheter system designed to enhance safety, reliability, and clinical performance in venous access procedures. Constructed from BD Vialon™ biomaterial, the catheter offers superior flexibility and durability while minimizing vein irritation and the risk of phlebitis. This unique material supports longer indwelling times, reduces mechanical complications, and improves patient comfort during extended therapy.

Equipped with integrated Blood Control Technology, the NEXIVA™ system minimizes blood exposure during insertion and connection. Its Y-adapter design allows for needleless access through a secure, single port, providing convenience in fluid or medication administration while reducing the risk of contamination. The passive needle-shielding mechanism activates automatically as the needle is withdrawn, significantly lowering the risk of needlestick injuries.

The 24-gauge, 19 mm (3/4 inch) catheter ensures a controlled flow rate of 18 mL per minute, making it suitable for patients with small or fragile veins, such as pediatric or geriatric cases. The winged hub design enhances stabilization and fixation, reducing movement and improving securement.
