The Bowie-Dick Test Pack COMPLY™ Steam 4 Min is a diagnostic tool designed to verify the air removal efficiency of dynamic air-removal steam sterilizers operating at 132–134°C (270–273°F). It ensures that trapped air does not remain within the sterilizer chamber, which could compromise sterilization efficacy. The test pack provides consistent and reliable detection of air leaks, vacuum pump malfunctions, or residual air pockets that can inhibit proper steam penetration.

Each pack includes a specially designed indicator sheet that changes color from yellow to dark brown or black upon successful air removal, ensuring a clear, easy-to-read visual confirmation. In cases of failure, the indicator develops non-uniform or lighter color patterns, allowing operators to identify and document irregularities promptly. The test sheet is designed for record keeping, supporting traceability and compliance in sterile processing environments.

The pack features a lead-free indicator chemistry, promoting a safer and more environmentally responsible solution for daily sterilizer performance verification. It can be used with both pre-vacuum and dynamic air-removal systems. The standard exposure duration is 3.5 minutes, extendable to 4 minutes when necessary.
