SILVERCEL™ Alginate Wound Dressing is designed to provide advanced care for moderate to heavily exuding wounds. The dressing is composed of alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and silver-coated nylon fibers, forming a nonwoven pad with a non-adherent wound contact layer. This construction allows for effective fluid absorption while maintaining a moist wound environment that supports optimal healing.

The dressing delivers a sustained release of silver ions for up to seven days in vitro, providing continuous antimicrobial protection against a broad spectrum of pathogens. This property helps to reduce the risk of infection and supports a safer healing environment. The silver component is incorporated in a controlled manner, allowing for effective antimicrobial activity without compromising tissue health.

SILVERCEL™ is suitable for a variety of wound types, including pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and surgical wounds. Its 2 x 2 inch square design and sterile packaging ensure ready-to-use application in clinical settings. The dressing is latex-free, making it safe for patients with latex sensitivities, and is classified as a non-adhesive dressing without border.
