Description
TICE® BCG (Live) VL EA is a biologic product used for the intravesical treatment of carcinoma in situ (CIS) and for the prophylaxis of recurrent papillary tumors in the urinary bladder. The dose for treatment involves one vial of TICE® BCG reconstituted in 50 mL of preservative-free saline. It is specifically administered intravesically, targeting the bladder lining to reduce the risk of recurrence of certain types of bladder cancer.
The product has been proven effective for the therapy of CIS and as a preventive treatment against recurrent Stage TaT1 papillary tumors in patients at high risk of recurrence. By stimulating the immune system, TICE® BCG induces localized inflammation in the bladder, which contributes to its therapeutic effect.
TICE® BCG must be reconstituted and stored under specific conditions to maintain its efficacy. After reconstitution, it should be kept refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C (36°F to 46°F), away from direct sunlight.
