STRATAFIX™ Knotless Tissue Control Device, Spiral PGA-PCL, Size 4-0, 30 cm x 30 cm, Undyed, FS-1 Needle, is an absorbable, sterile, synthetic suture designed for soft tissue approximation. This device integrates a unidirectional barbed suture technology that eliminates the need for knot tying, providing even distribution of tension along the wound and maintaining secure approximation throughout the healing process.

The suture is composed of a copolymer of polyglycolic acid and polycaprolactone (PGA-PCL), which is gradually absorbed through hydrolysis. It offers high initial tensile strength followed by predictable absorption, typically between 182 to 238 days. The undyed configuration reduces visibility for cases where minimal suture detection is preferred post-operatively.

The unidirectional spiral barbs are designed to anchor securely into tissue, providing reliable tissue control and maintaining consistent wound edge approximation without slippage. This enhances procedural efficiency and reduces the time required for suturing, especially in laparoscopic or minimally invasive techniques.
