Description

Magnesium citrate solution is a saline laxative that comes as a 10 oz liquid. Each oz contains 1.745 g of Magnesium citrate. Other ingredients include citric acid, saccharin sodium, sodium bicarbonate and lemon flavor. Magnesium citrate solution is an oral liquid. The laxative is indicated to relieve occasional constipation. It usually takes ½ to 6 hours to produce bowel movements upon intake of the liquid. For children 6 to 11 years of age ? or ½ bottle is given with a full 8 oz glass of liquid.

For 12 years and above, ½ to one bottle is given that has to be administered with a full 8 oz glass of liquid. The dose may be taken either as divided doses or as a single daily dose. Do Not use the laxative for more than a week. Magnesium citrate laxative must not be refrigerated. Store at between 8° to 30° C. The seal of the bottle is tamper evident; do not use it if it's broken.
