The Dermacea™ Woven X-Ray Detectable Gauze Sponge, Sterile, 4 × 4 in, 16 Ply is a sterile wound care dressing designed for surgical and clinical applications where absorbency, visibility, and patient safety are essential. Manufactured from USP Type VII woven cotton gauze, it provides consistent performance for wound management, fluid absorption, and tissue protection. 

A blue radiopaque element is integrated into each gauze sponge, allowing detection under X-ray imaging when required. This feature supports surgical counting protocols and assists healthcare professionals in identifying retained sponges during operative procedures. The woven construction minimizes lint generation while maintaining structural integrity, making the dressing suitable for delicate surgical environments and controlled wound care applications.

The sponge is paper-banded and packaged in trays of ten to support organized storage, efficient dispensing, and streamlined workflow in healthcare facilities. Its sterile design reduces the risk of contamination, while the disposable construction promotes infection control by eliminating the need for reprocessing after use.
