Description

Vaqta is a 1 ml of single adult dose vaccine that is supplied in a prefilled syringe. It is a suspension for intramuscular injection only. It is indicated for the prevention of Hepatitis A caused by the Hepatitis A virus (HAV). The first dose is administered at the age of 19 years or older as a 1 ml primary dose. This is followed by a 1 ml booster dose that is administered intramuscularly 6 to 18 months later. It is recommended to inject the vaccine into the deltoid muscle of adults.

Do Not mix Vaqta with any other vaccine in the same vial or syringe. The prefilled syringe should be used after shaking well. The product shall be inspected visually for any discoloration or particulate matter prior to administration. The needle is attached to the prefilled syringe by twisting in a clockwise direction. Discard the vial after use.
