Description

Ubrelvy™ (ubrogepant) 100 mg tablets are an oral medication used for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults. As a calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonist, ubrogepant works by blocking CGRP receptors, which are involved in the transmission of migraine pain. It does not prevent migraines but is designed to alleviate symptoms once a migraine attack begins.

Each blister pack contains ten tablets of 100 mg ubrogepant, formulated as a film-coated oral tablet for rapid absorption. The tablets should be taken as soon as migraine symptoms appear, with or without food. If needed, a second dose may be taken at least two hours after the first dose, with a maximum daily limit of 200 mg.

Common side effects include nausea, dizziness, and sleepiness. Severe allergic reactions are rare but possible. Patients with severe liver or kidney impairment should consult a healthcare provider before use. The medication may interact with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, necessitating dosage adjustments.
