Coated VICRYL™ Absorbable Suture, Undyed Braided, CP-2 Needle, Size 2/0, 27" is a sterile, absorbable surgical suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a synthetic copolymer of glycolide and lactide. The suture is braided and coated with a blend of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate to enhance pliability, reduce tissue drag, and improve knot security.

This suture is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. It is widely used in subcuticular closures, gynecologic procedures, and general surgery. Due to its absorbable nature, it is not suitable for cardiovascular or neurological applications. The 2/0 size provides a moderate tensile strength ideal for closing superficial and some deep tissue layers with minimal tissue trauma.

The CP-2 needle is a 3/8 circle taper point needle measuring 26 mm, designed for smooth penetration through soft tissue. It provides precise, controlled placement with minimal tearing, making it appropriate for mucosal and subdermal layers. Each pack contains 27-inch strands, offering convenience for procedures requiring multiple closures.
