Description

Glucagen (Glucagon for Injection) 1 mg/1 mL is a medication used to treat severe hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) in individuals with diabetes. It functions by stimulating the liver to release stored glucose into the bloodstream, thereby raising blood glucose levels to a normal range. This treatment is essential for patients who cannot consume oral glucose or for those who are unconscious due to hypoglycemia.

The medication is provided in a carton containing a 1 mg vial of Glucagon and 1 mL of Sterile Water for Injection. The two components are mixed just before use, ensuring the preparation is fresh and effective. Once reconstituted, the solution is administered as an intramuscular or subcutaneous injection to quickly correct hypoglycemia symptoms.
