The tablet contains 100 mg of doxycycline as its active ingredient.

Doxycycline works by inhibiting the protein synthesis of bacteria, which prevents the growth and reproduction of the bacteria. By interfering with the function of ribosomes, it prevents the production of essential proteins needed for bacterial survival. This makes doxycycline effective in treating both gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial infections.
