MONOCRYL™ Monofilament Suture, Violet, 27", Size 4-0 is a synthetic absorbable suture made from a copolymer of glycolide and e-caprolactone. It is designed for use in soft tissue approximation and ligation where absorbable sutures are indicated. The suture is monofilament in structure, offering reduced tissue drag and minimal risk of fraying compared to braided alternatives.

This suture incorporates a taper point needle, which enables smooth passage through delicate tissues with minimal trauma. The monofilament construction contributes to a lower inflammatory response and results in less tissue reaction than chromic gut.
